MIAMI \u2014 After a visit to the White House on Monday<\/a>, the Dutch king and queen have had a tight itinerary on Tuesday<\/a> and Wednesday in Miami. <\/p>\n

King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexander<\/a> and Queen M\u00e1xima<\/a> stopped at the Shake-a-Leg marina<\/a> on Wednesday morning in Coconut Grove. <\/p>\n

The royals met with people with disabilities who are passionate about water sports and with a group of representatives of companies in the maritime industry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to actually see the maritime industry in the Netherlands actually collaborated so well with the American one, so I think good for both countries,\u201d the Argentine-born queen said on Wednesday in Coconut Grove. <\/p>\n

The royal couple\u2019s itinerary also included a visit to the Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute<\/a> in Kendall, which works with Dutch companies.<\/p>\n

The royals were also set to tour the \u201cLibertad\u201d exhibition at The Freedom Tower<\/a>, a museum and national landmark in downtown Miami. There will be a reception, and the king will deliver a speech. <\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the king delivered a speech before Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd to highlight the importance of the state. <\/p>\n

\u201cFor three of the countries in our Kingdom \u2013 Aruba, Cura\u00e7ao, and St. Maarten \u2013 Florida is the main U.S. trading partner,\u201c the king said. \u201dThe islands are popular destinations for American tourists, and students from the Caribbean part of our Kingdom like to come here for their studies.” <\/p>\n

Also on Tuesday, the royal couple visited the Dr. Henry W. Mack \/ West Little River K- 8 Center<\/a>, the P\u00e9rez Art Museum Miami<\/a> in downtown, the M\u00e1ximo G\u00f3mez Park, better known as Domino Park<\/a>, in Little Havana, and the Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science of the University of Miami<\/a> in Virginia Key. <\/p>\n
