(WSVN) &#8211; An accused killer made a court appearance in his murder case. <\/p>\n<p>Twenty-five-year-old Vernon Kelson allegedly<a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/miami-dade\/man-killed-in-shooting-in-sw-miami-dade-victims-grandmother-urges-gunman-to-surrender\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"> gunned down a 21-year-old victim<\/a> on March 21 near West Guava Street and Homestead Avenue in Southwest Miami-Dade.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses identified Kelson as the gunman, leading to his arrest. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators say bullets covered the street where the victim\u2019s body was found. <\/p>\n<p>Kelson is charged with second-degree murder and will remain behind bars pending trial. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Sunbeam Television Corp.
