The \u201choliday\u201d was created in 2008 as a means to celebrate independent record stores. For <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.miaminewtimes.com\/podcasts\/sweat-records-owner-talks-miamis-vinyl-revival-and-history-40539592\/\">vinylphiles<\/a>, it has become bigger than Christmas as all kinds of exclusive albums are printed exclusively for this day. This year some of the Record Store Day exclusives include lots of live records from everyone from Pink Floyd to the Pixies to Wolf Alice. There\u2019s also singles by <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.miaminewtimes.com\/music\/in-miami-taylor-swift-dropped-her-biggest-reputation-hint-to-date-21559844\/\" id=\"https:\/\/www.miaminewtimes.com\/music\/in-miami-taylor-swift-dropped-her-biggest-reputation-hint-to-date-21559844\/\">Taylor Swift,<\/a> Charli xcx, and\u00a0 Pink Pantheress. Most experimental might be <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.miaminewtimes.com\/music\/thurston-moore-explores-his-love-of-jazz-in-a-new-book-40513322\/\">Sonic Youth<\/a>\u2018s\u00a0Diamond Seas\u00a0described as \u201c32 live performances of Sonic Youth\u2019s \u2018The Diamond Sea\u2019 plunderphoniclly orchestrated by John Oswald\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>South Florida has plenty of places where you can celebrate Record Store Day. Here\u2019s how and where you can get in line bright and early to enjoy the miracle of sound played on a modulated spiral groove.<\/p>\n<p>Endo Records &amp; Music<\/p>\n<p>Hop down to Kendall from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.\u00a0 at Endo Records new location for a musical shopping experience. Those waiting in line will be serenaded by live acoustic performances, inside live DJ\u2019s will be spinning all day. Next door at Churchill\u2019s will have live jazz from 12-2 performed by Diego Melgar Trio along with indie vendors.
