HOLLYWOOD, Fla. \u2014 Authorities in Hollywood are searching for the driver and vehicle responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It happened on Saturday around 1:50 a.m. along the 2400 block of Sheridan Street. <\/p>\n

According to police, responding officers arrived to find a pedestrian who had been struck by a car.<\/p>\n

First responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where he later passed away as a result of his injuries, authorities said. Police did not release his name or age.<\/p>\n

Officers are searching for a red 2024 Honda Accord with Florida license plate number QCZ U51. <\/p>\n

Police said the Honda should have heavy front-end damage and should be missing its Honda emblem. <\/p>\n

Anyone with information is urged to call Hollywood police at 954-967-4567 or Broward Crime Stopers at 954-493-TIPS. <\/p>\n
