PETERSBURG, Fla. \u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtsp.com\/article\/news\/local\/pinellascounty\/st-pete-police-house-fire-arrest-angelina-anderson-coquina-key-arson\/67-ea1c42c6-d784-40c8-8c2b-e81bb9c4c8c4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">St. Petersburg Police Department<\/a> is investigating an incident that left one person shot and another injured.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a reported shooting in the parking lot of the Mobil gas station at 1750 34th St. N.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said Anthony Oliver, 40, and DeAndre Randolph, 28, became involved in a verbal argument that escalated when Randolph struck Oliver over the head with a cinder block. Oliver then pulled a firearm and fired at Randolph.<\/p>\n<p>Both men were injured, though police said the injuries were not life-threatening. They were transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Randolph was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Oliver was also arrested and faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Both involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Health.
