BREVARD COUNTY \u2022 MELBOURNE, FLORIDA\u2013 Leaders, clinicians and associates from Nemours Children\u2019s Health<\/a> were joined today by local residents, elected officials and healthcare advocates as they broke ground on Nemours Children\u2019s Health, Viera, a new 34,000 square-foot multi-specialty care facility in Melbourne.
\n\u201cBreaking ground on this new location is an exciting milestone in our quest to elevate care for children and families in Melbourne and the surrounding community,\u201d said Martha McGill, BSN, MBA, MHA, Central Florida Region President of Nemours Children\u2019s Health. \u201cWith Central Florida\u2019s only specialty licensed children\u2019s hospital, and as a leader in pediatric healthcare, Nemours Children\u2019s is bringing world-class care closer to children and families, which reflects our commitment to improving the health and well-being of those we serve.\u201d

\nNemours Children\u2019s Health, Viera, will be located in the medical plaza off Stadium Parkway between Napolo Drive and N. Wickham Road in Melbourne. The facility will be staffed by a team of skilled pediatric healthcare professionals and offer primary, specialty and urgent care services. Available services and specialties will also include, allergy, audiology, cardiology, echo, electroencephalogram (EEG, gastroenterology, hematology & oncology, imaging, nephrology, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology physical medicine & rehabilitation, plastic surgery pulmonology rheumatology, sleep specialty clinic, therapy services (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy), ultrasound, and urology.

\nHeather Kasicki, a local resident, whose nine-year-old son has been a cardiology patient of Nemours Children\u2019s since he was a baby, was in attendance at the groundbreaking and expressed her jubilation about the additional convenience and access to services that the new location will bring to children and families in the area.
\n\u201cWhen your child needs to be seen by a doctor, being close to where your child will be cared for means the world to me,\u201d said Kasicki. \u201cWith the new Nemours Children\u2019s Health, Viera, location on the way, I am so excited. Everyone is so excited about this.\u201d
