MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – A woman who starred in \u201cThe Real Housewives of Miami\u201d bonded out of jail after a reality check behind bars.<\/p>\n
Lisa Hochstein smiled as she left Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Wednesday, hours after voluntarily turning herself in to authorities and paying her $5,000 bond.<\/p>\n
\u201cOh, it was great, it was amazing, yeah, five star, five-star vacation,\u201d she said when being asked about her experience.<\/p>\n
Lisa is alleged to have put a recorder in the car of her ex-husband, Leonard Hochstein, in 2023. The Hochsteins went through a divorce in 2022 after roughly 13 years of marriage.<\/p>\n
Investigators said Lisa\u2019s ex-husband lent her his Mercedes-Benz because she was considering buying one, but later noticed a suspicious device in the floorboard inside his car.<\/p>\n
The arrest report reads: \u201cThe victim noticed a suspicious device in the driver seat floorboard of the vehicle while driving it,\u201d and \u201cit was covered in tape, which upon learning the nature of the device, the victim suspected was used to secure it under the seat and out of view.\u201d<\/p>\n
Leonard later contacted his lawyer, who contacted a private investigator, who then contacted the Miami Beach Police Department.<\/p>\n
Authorities found over 98 recordings on the device, including a recording that contains audio of Lisa and Jody Glidden, her ex-boyfriend, placing the device in the car, according to the arrest form.<\/p>\n
The arrest report reads: \u201cWoman and man setting up a device. The woman asks for Adderall.\u201d <\/p>\n
In another recording, the two were chatting, and the audio also captured \u201cthe distinct sound of a device such as the hidden recorder being wrestled into place.\u201d<\/p>\n
Investigators said they recovered various deleted recordings, including one \u201cwhich contained a recording of Lisa Hochstein and Glidden engaged in intimate activities.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the arrest form, Lisa and Glidden were both charged with interception of wire, oral or electronic communications, which is a felony.<\/p>\n
But as she walked out of jail on Wednesday, her attorney, Jayne Weintraub, said they are focused on other things than the present charges.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not talking about recordings, we\u2019re talking about taking a shower and getting out of here,\u201d said Weintraub. \u201cNow you can add to your repertoire, but you\u2019ll be home for dinner.\u201d<\/p>\n
The attorney and defendant also dodged questions that focused on the allegations against Lisa. <\/p>\n
Later in the day, Weintraub released the following statement on the day\u2019s events:<\/p>\n
\u201cThis matter is part of a contentious divorce proceeding and does not belong in criminal court. This morning she voluntarily turned herself in to be processed and will be released on her own recognizance.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lisa and Glidden were previously co-defendants on a previous case, which was transferred and given a new case number.<\/p>\n
Thursday morning, Glidden waived his right to appear in court and pleaded not guilty through his attorney.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Real Housewives of Miami\u201d airs on Bravo and follows the lives of women who live in South Florida. The reality show has been on the air for 15 years.<\/p>\n
Leonard declined to comment on this case. A 7News crew went to Lisa and Glidden\u2019s homes on Wednesday, but no one answered the door at either residence.<\/p>\n
Lisa and Glidden are expected back in court on Monday.<\/p>\n
