Today marks 65 years since the Bay of Pigs invasion, and we’re honoring the legacy of those who fought. In Little Havana, the Brigade 2506<\/a> veterans are celebrating a major milestone with the grand reopening of the expanded Bay of Pigs Museum<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The new 11,000 square-foot facility stands as a permanent tribute to the men who landed on those Cuban beaches in 1961.<\/p>\n

While commemorations are also being held in Cuba and as far away as South Africa, the heart of the anniversary remains right here in Miami, honoring a generation\u2019s sacrifice for freedom. <\/p>\n
