JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The regular season is winding to a close, as the Jacksonville women’s rowing program ships up to Tennessee for the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regatta, the final regatta before the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships in May.<\/p>\n
The racing is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. The Dolphins will compete with nine crews across four different boats. Jacksonville will send two eights, three fours, two pairs and a single.<\/p>\n
The action starts all morning Saturday with opening qualifiers for a fleet of finals from Saturday afternoon through Sunday. The first boat in the water is the second Varsity Eight, competing at 9:10 AM. The three fours will compete in their first heat in seven-minute intervals starting at 9:59 AM and running till 10:13 AM.<\/p>\n
The last racing of Saturday morning will see the first Varsity Eight go out at 11:37 AM. The early afternoon will see JU’s two pairs go out at 1:21 and 1:28 PM.<\/p>\n
The late afternoon session will see various qualifying heats for final standing in the A and B finals Sunday. The full schedule of qualifiers and finals for both days can be found HERE<\/a>.
