Authorities say a stuck Jeep Wrangler ended up sparking a wildfire that burned roughly 20 acres of protected land, sending emergency crews rushing to contain the flames.<\/p>\n

Every serious off-roader knows that venturing off the beaten path carries risks for the vehicle, but this story acts as a harsh reminder that off-roading can also create real environmental danger in dry conditions.<\/p>\n

Jeep Reportedly Became Stuck In Mud<\/p>\n

According to local reports, the incident happened in Ocala National Forest, a popular destination for trails, camping, and outdoor recreation in central Florida.<\/p>\n

Officials said the Jeep Wrangler became stuck in a muddy area. During attempts to free the vehicle, the hot exhaust is believed to have come into contact with the ground, which likely ignited the dry vegetation nearby.<\/p>\n
