\u2013 SMU rowing completed day one action of the Orlando Invite hosted by UCF. They qualified for the “A” final in the 3v8s.<\/p>\n
SMU competed in five races during the opening day of the Orlando Invite. The Mustangs started the day with a second-place finish in the 3v8 with a time of 6:52.1, ahead of Duke and UCF. They punched their ticket to the “A” final.

\nIn the 1v8, SMU came in fourth with a time of 6:33.1, behind Duke, Alabama and Oklahoma. In the 2v8, the Mustangs bested Oklahoma by 0.3 seconds with a third place finish, crossing the line in 6:38.0.

\nThe Mustangs next raced in the 1v4s. SMU posted a 7:27.2 finish, good for third place. The team finished in front of Oklahoma by 4.7 seconds. In the final SMU race of the day, the 2v4, SMU placed in fourth with a time of 8:13.3.
