The Miami Dolphins<\/a> have executed a number of transactions to shed players from last year\u2019s roster. It\u2019s been a bit of a mass exodus. <\/p>\n And while the worst of it may have passed, we may not have seen the end of it. Miami still has several holdovers from the last regime who may or may not have strong futures with the Dolphins. The 2026 NFL Draft will serve as an investment opportunity for every team. But if the well at certain positions runs dry, the phones may start ringing on Saturday. Don\u2019t sleep on one intriguing option from Miami for some teams looking for running back help. Miami\u2019s Jaylen Wright has yet to prove himself in Miami but the talent is there \u2014\u00a0and the contract is cheap.<\/p>\n Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright could be a trade candidate this offseason<\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t all that long ago that running back Jaylen Wright as an in-demand draft prospect. Miami was so taken by Wright out of Tennessee that they traded away a future 3rd-round draft choice for a 4th-round pick in 2024 to secure his services. <\/p>\n Whatever the plan was for Wright, it is safe to say it hasn\u2019t come into focus through the running back\u2019s first two seasons in Miami. He was 537 rushing yards (3.9 yards per carry) in two seasons of play for the Dolphins. And now there\u2019s a new general manager and head coach in town who are preaching how much they value and covet a different player at his position on the roster (De\u2019Von Achane<\/a>). Pair that with two years remaining on Wright\u2019s rookie contract and an outstanding balance of $2.2 million? <\/p>\n Perhaps Miami could capitalize on a thin running back class in the 2026 NFL Draft. There aren\u2019t a lot of high-end prospects behind Notre Dame\u2019s Jeremiyah Love, who is expected to go in the top-5 selections. Could Wright be a chip to dangle from the previous regime\u2019s leftovers?
