We don\u2019t want a pope who says crime is OK in our cities. I don\u2019t like it. Hilard.<\/p>\n<p>Two years ago, a Florida Statewide Grand Jury examined the organization where it identified multiple compliance and accountability deficiencies. <\/p>\n<p>In documents located under Florida <a href=\"https:\/\/acis-api.flcourts.gov\/courts\/68f021c4-6a44-4735-9a76-5360b2e8af13\/cms\/case\/651d8f68-f322-4cd0-831f-74dc9b0d77a8\/docketentrydocuments\/d88e841b-68c3-44cb-a3cc-f82c7e47f504\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Case No. SC22-792<\/a>, Catholic Charities in Miami was found operating unlicensed shelters in direct violation of state law, with authorities directing staff to report red flags to federal officials rather local law enforcement. In 2020, an audit found the organization failed to provide required records and documents, with repayments ordered initially, then substantially reduced through state appeal.
