TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) \u2013 Hundreds of people filled the downtown parks in Tallahassee on Saturday, celebrating the 26th annual Chain of Parks Art Festival. <\/p>\n
\u201cI do a lot of pop-ups around North Florida and this is a phenomenal crowd,\u201d Karen Tharp said. She\u2019s a ceramic artist who traveled from Gainesville to participate in the festival for the first time this year. <\/p>\n
\u201cI went to Florida State for my undergrad in ceramics 20 years ago, so I was really excited to come back to Tallahassee for this art event,\u201d Tharp said. <\/p>\n
The festival brings together more than 160 artists, live music, and several other food and craft vendors. <\/p>\n

Tharp said she appreciates the in-person experience with potential customers. \u201cBecause people can pick up the pieces and see what fits right in their hands and see, kind of, how the light hits it, and it\u2019s exciting to watch them,\u201d she said. \u201cIt really feels gratifying when people kind of notice the care that I put into my work.\u201d <\/p>\n
The festival began at 10 a.m. but the parks were full of people well before. It runs until 5 p.m. Saturday. <\/p>\n
On Sunday, the festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. <\/p>\n
