More than a week after Broward deputies began the hunt for a person who was \u201cpleasuring himself\u201d before attacking a woman from behind, they\u2019ve apprehended a 17-year-old who they say was behind the crime.<\/p>\n
The teenager, whose name is being withheld due to his age, was charged on Friday with one count of attempted sexual battery. The Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office said it used \u201ctechnological resources and old-fashioned police work … to make this arrest.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the afternoon of April 8, the 17-year-old was seen \u201cpleasuring himself\u201d in a parking lot near the 16500 block of Golf Club Road, deputies say. He approached a woman sitting on a grassy hill from behind and lunged at her, surveillance video showed.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s on the loose<\/a><\/p>\n The two struggled on the ground for a few seconds before he got up and ran to a nearby scooter and rode away.<\/p>\n The teenager was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center for processing.<\/p>\n
