How mutual that actually was, well, unless you’re actually inside the front office, you don’t really know, but officially speaking, he was not fired.<\/p>\n

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa<\/a> was also released, and we all saw that coming after his notorious self-own of a press conference during the season.<\/p>\n

Tagovailoa infamously told the media that Miami lacked leadership from a players perspective. Yes, if he only he (the handsomely paid franchise starting quarterback) knew somebody who could do something about that.<\/p>\n

Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State<\/p>\n

NFL Mock Draft Database has a Consensus NFL Mock Draft<\/a> which indicates the most common player projected at every single slot. Johnson leads the way at #30, with 14% of the mocks out there projecting him. One thing that almost always seems to be changing with the Dolphins is the name of their home stadium. Not far behind is the depth chart of their defensive backfield.<\/p>\n

There will be a ton of overhaul from 2025 to 2026, in a multitude of position groups, including the secondary. This is both a good value and a needs based pick here for the Dolphins.<\/p>\n

The main point of this draft, for the Fins, is stacking talent and not forcing it when it comes to filling needs. If Johnson isn’t the pick, then maybe going Rocky Top is the answer. Hood originally committed to Michigan State, before beginning his college career at Auburn. He then transferred to Colorado, before finally ending up at Tennessee. The well-traveled cornerback has lacked gaudy statistics at every stop of his career.<\/p>\n

He’s not a first round prospect due to statistical production; its his measurables and innate talent that sets him apart.<\/p>\n

T.J. Parker, Edge, Clemson<\/p>\n

The Phins top needs are wide receiver, pass rush, pass defense and offensive line. Honestly, there are needs everywhere, but shoring up the pass defense, by spending picks on both pass rushers and defensive backs, should be the paramount concern in 2026. Parker is an interesting prospect, as his draft stock seems to be rather volatile. Still, he’s versatile, with the ability to play multiple positions and to generate pressure from all of them.<\/p>\n
