Orlando stayed perfect and did it in style. Quarterback Jack Plummer led with a detailed drive in the first quarter, going 4-4 on third downs. But it was a 36-yard pass to Elijah Badger on third-and-eight that got the momentum started for Orlando, setting up Plummer for a lob to Cam Camper on third and goal, who made his first catch of the season and scored for Orlando. The Stallions, however, began to struggle. After three punts and a missed 35-yard field goal, the team only gathered 107 yards while they unsuccessfully weathered the Storm’s impressive first half. The second quarter was brought to a close by Plummer, once again making quick work of the Stallion defense and leading an incredibly efficient two-minute drill despite having no timeouts. Hitting Camper, Chris Rowland, and Jashaun Corbin to set up a 47-yard field goal by Michael Lantz.Plummer remained composed throughout the game, throwing for 182 yards and a touchdown without turning the ball over. It was not just the Storm offense that had all of the fun. When the dust settled, Orlando had only let up 147 yards, a season best for the Storm defense. Orlando held the Stallions to a brutal 1 for 13 on third down.”They (Stallions) do have a lot of talented receivers, you know, but we got a lot of talented defensive linemen,” Coach Becht says. The Storm are now only the 2nd team in UFL history to start a season 4-0. The first? The Birmingham Stallions in 2024.
