\u2014 Ryan Fravel (@Fravel_Ryan) April 19, 2026<\/a>It looks like the writing could be on the wall in this recruitment. <\/p>\n I wrote about how the dominoes for the 2027 quarterback<\/a> recruiting class had started to fall, and how that could favor Florida State. He hasn’t committed yet in public, so there’s still a chance for the Noles. However, this crystal ball prediction is a worst-case scenario for a few reasons. <\/p>\n It would mean they are not in the driver’s seat in his recruitment anymore, and they’d likely have to pay more than they’d want to secure his commitment over Notre Dame and Ohio State. <\/p>\n It shouldn’t come as a surprise to Florida State fans. The state of those three programs are drastically different. Notre Dame and Ohio State are constantly in the College Football Playoffs and Florida State hasnt’ made a bowl game in the past two years. Plus, there’s no guarantee that Mike Norvell will even make it through the 2026 season. <\/p>\n My colleague wrote about another option for Florida State should they miss on Monds, and that’s UCF commit, Logan Flaherty<\/a>. <\/p>\n Listen, spending crazy money on a high school quarterback who likely won’t play in year one isn’t a great return on an investment. However, it doesn’t look great from a perception standpoint and FSU has taken its lumps there, and we can likely add this one to the list. <\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/assets.minutemediacdn.com\/platform\/google_discover_icon.svg\"){kind=icon}
