FSU has been recruiting Monds since June 12, 2024, when they became the first major school to offer him a scholarship. At the time, he was a member of the 2028 cycle, but he has since reclassified. They have hosted him on several visits since then, but it does not appear that it was enough.<\/p>\n
They are competing with the Ohio State Buckeyes<\/a> and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish<\/a> for him, and Brian Dohn of 247Sports<\/a> believes that Notre Dame has emerged as the school to beat, logging a crystal ball in their favor. Ohio State already has a quarterback committed, but was considering taking Monds as their No. 2 quarterback in the class.<\/p>\n Notre Dame only recently entered the picture for Monds, offering him a scholarship in January. They quickly became a factor and hosted him on his visit this weekend, where they have seemingly made a major move in his recruitment.<\/p>\n Monds is ranked as the No. 259 overall player and No. 19 quarterback in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 25 player from Florida.<\/p>\n He was limited to just five games last season, completeting 71.4% of his passes for 691 yards, seven touchdowns, and no interceptions. His stat line as a freshman is much more indicative of what type of player he is, as he completed 67.5% of his passes for 2,234 yards, 23 touchdowns, and five interceptions to go with 502 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.<\/p>\n If Monds does end up going elsewhere, it is unclear who the Seminoles will target at quarterback.
