A 21-year-old Gulfport man died following a motorcycle crash late Sunday night at the intersection of 18th Avenue South and Quincy Street.<\/p>\n
The crash occurred shortly before midnight when Trevor Allen Fritz, 21, was riding a black 2020 Harley-Davidson Iron 200 motorcycle eastbound on 18th Avenue South. According to investigators, a silver 2018 Ram ProMaster 2500 cargo van traveling westbound attempted to make a left turn onto Quincy Street South and entered the path of the motorcycle.<\/p>\n

The motorcycle struck the van during the turn.<\/p>\n
Fritz was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, where he later died from his injuries. Next of kin has been notified.<\/p>\n
The driver of the van remained at the scene following the crash.<\/p>\n
The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
