{"id":239360,"date":"2026-04-20T19:57:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T19:57:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/239360\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T19:57:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T19:57:09","slug":"miami-realtors-merging-with-broward-palm-beach-st-lucie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/239360\/","title":{"rendered":"Miami Realtors Merging with Broward, Palm Beach, St. Lucie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Miami Association of Realtors is merging with the Broward, Palm Beaches &amp; St. Lucie Realtors into the largest local such association in the National Association of Realtors\u2019 history.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The two organizations expect the merger will close May 11, co-CEOs Teresa King Kinney and Dionna Hall said. King Kinney previously <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdeal.com\/miami\/2026\/02\/23\/miami-realtors-ceo-teresa-king-kinney-to-retire\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced her plans to retire<\/a> at the end of the year after more than three decades in a leadership role. Effective Jan. 1, 2027, Hall will be the sole CEO.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Each association has about 75 employees, and their assets include real estate, such as Miami Realtors\u2019 headquarters at 1800 Oakwood Drive in Miami Springs. The new association, called Miami and South Florida Realtors, will have 93,000 members, Hall said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The merger is another sign of increased <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdeal.com\/texas\/2026\/04\/15\/san-antonio-realtors-to-merge-with-four-rivers-association\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">consolidation<\/a> in the residential industry, and a result of previous <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdeal.com\/miami\/2024\/12\/09\/the-weekly-dirt-on-compass-buying-properties-christies\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">mergers<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, the Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches and the Realtor Association of Miami-Dade County combined to create the Miami Association of Realtors, becoming the largest local association at the time with 23,500 members. In 2017, the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches merged with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are each the result of multiple mergers. Here we have the ultimate merger,\u201d King Kinney said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The two organizations have 14 locations, and the co-CEOs will evaluate whether to close some due to expiring or month-to-month leases and redundancies, King Kinney said. The combined association will streamline its rules and regulations into one set of guidelines.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The new association will also prioritize lobbying on issues like <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdeal.com\/miami\/2026\/03\/09\/hoa-dissolution-bill-passes-florida-house-heads-to-senate\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">condo legislation<\/a> and home ownership. It will continue to offer <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdeal.com\/magazine\/september-2025\/in-miamis-condo-market-the-pitch-to-foreign-buyers-picks-up\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a>, data and other tools to members.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The merger comes at a time of increased scrutiny over the MLS, <a href=\"https:\/\/therealdeal.com\/national\/2025\/04\/16\/private-listings-crackdown-heats-up-portal-wars\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">private listings<\/a> and listings platforms like Zillow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The mega association between Miami Realtors and Broward, Palm Beaches &amp; St. Lucie Realtors (R World) will provide members with access to both Multiple Listing Services, covering Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Evian White De Leon, Miami Realtors\u2019 COO and chief legal counsel, will have the same titles for the Miami and South Florida Realtors.
