{"id":239466,"date":"2026-04-20T21:22:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T21:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/239466\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T21:22:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T21:22:08","slug":"jacksonville-man-indicted-for-fentanyl-trafficking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/239466\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacksonville man indicted for fentanyl trafficking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A Jacksonville man has been indicted on federal charges after investigators say they found more than 1.5 pounds of fentanyl in his home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">According to the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Middle District of Florida, Issac Darnell Henderson, 32, is charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Authorities said agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant at Henderson\u2019s residence on Feb. 14, 2024, where they recovered more than a pound and a half of multi-colored fentanyl.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">If convicted, Henderson faces a maximum penalty of life in federal prison, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Federal prosecutors also filed a forfeiture notice seeking assets allegedly connected to the drug trafficking offense.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Rachel Lasry. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicole Andrejko is handling the forfeiture.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Officials noted that an indictment is only a formal charge and that Henderson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wftv.com\/mobile-apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wftv.com\/mobile-apps\">Click here<\/a> to download our free news, weather and smart TV apps.
