Cape Coral Police Officer Alfonso Rodriguez was recognized as the Cape Coral Police Department<\/a>‘s 2025 Officer of the Year.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez was recognized for his “dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving our community. One example: during a robbery investigation, his sharp instincts and quick thinking helped identify the suspects\u2019 getaway vehicle\u2014ultimately leading to their arrest,” a post on the department’s Facebook page said.<\/p>\n

“Known for his strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to mentor others, Officer Rodriguez is a respected member of our agency who truly represents what it means to serve.<\/p>\n

“He embodies a core truth of law enforcement: being a great officer starts with loving patrol.”<\/p>\n

Cape Coral Police Officer Alfonso Rodriguez was recognized in March 2026 as the police department’s 2025 Officer of the Year. The department cited his “dedication, professionalism, and commitment” in a Facebook announcement.<\/p>\n

Cape Coral Police Department forensic expert is Employee of the Year<\/p>\n

Forensic Specialist Kasey Buckner Brager was the Cape Coral PD Employee of the Year.<\/p>\n

Kasey is an International Association for Identification Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst and Footwear Examiner, and a leader in innovation within our Forensic Unit.<\/p>\n

“Her efforts have secured nearly $400,000 in federal grants, improving lab safety, equipment, and training, including the addition of Fentanyl Safety Hoods to protect our forensic technicians,” the police department said in its announcement.<\/p>\n

Cape Coral Police Department\u2019 2025 Employee of the Year is Forensic Specialist Kasey Buckner Brager, announced by the department in March 2026. Kasey is an International Association for Identification certified senior crime scene analyst and footwear examiner.<\/p>\n

It said: “Kasey has processed nearly 3,000 pieces of evidence that contributed to 82 arrests and 46 convictions.<\/p>\n

“She is also a recognized trainer and mentor, helping develop the next generation of forensic professionals.”<\/p>\n

The police department said that she serves as the 2nd vice president of the Florida Division of the International Association for Identification and lauded her for her dedication and leadership.<\/p>\n
