Attendees were encouraged to engage with one another, share ideas, and build on collective suggestions—an approach organizers say led to more thoughtful and community-driven proposals.

The Partnership is now reviewing the feedback as it works to shape its long-term strategic plan.

Many of the ideas shared centered on economic growth and development, while others focused on how the Partnership itself can improve its role in supporting the community. Kenyetta Hairston-Bridges, President and CEO of Tampa’s Downtown Partnership, said the process is rooted in evaluating both progress and opportunity.

“Where is it that you feel that we can be improving a little bit, and what would you like us to expand upon?” Hairston-Bridges said during one of the sessions. “Or if there’s absolutely something that you don’t think is working in its current form and how we can improve it—it’s all about community engagement.”

The seven meetings mark the latest effort by the Partnership to involve residents directly in planning decisions, though this year’s format placed a stronger emphasis on interaction and collaboration.

Across the discussions, two key themes consistently emerged: economic growth and neighborhood connectivity.

Residents expressed interest in seeing more services brought into their communities, along with clarity about the types of development planned for the future. At the same time, many highlighted transportation and accessibility challenges, calling for stronger connections between Tampa’s major neighborhoods.

City leaders have already begun addressing some of these concerns through ongoing projects like the Riverwalk, which aims to better link downtown Tampa with surrounding areas.

While specific plans for each neighborhood have yet to be announced, officials say the ideas gathered during these sessions will play a central role in guiding future development. For now, the Partnership is encouraging residents to stay tuned as it refines its strategy based on the community’s input.

TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa’s Downtown Partnership has wrapped up a series of community meetings aimed at gathering feedback from…

[10
274,558,7143,276,2635,115,135,137,136,278
post-240217","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-tampa","tag-app-top-stories","tag-business","tag-economic-development","tag-hillsborough-county","tag-jason-lanning","tag-news","tag-tampa","tag-tampa-headlines","tag-tampa-news","tag-top-stories
["GET
