The National Parkinson’s Association says Florida ranks well above the national incidence of the disease. A local event this Sunday, April 26, will provide proven help for the area’s Parkinson’s patients.<\/p>\n

Kim Bibeau’s Sweat Therapy Fitness in Midtown began offering a special physical exercise program to help slow the advance of Parkinson’s about 15 years ago.<\/p>\n

“In 2011 we raised some money for TMH in partnership with the FSU Medical School and that’s when I learned about the connection between exercise and Parkinson’s disease.”<\/p>\n

To make the program available to more patients, Bibeau says a special event happens this Sunday at Bradley’s Pond.<\/p>\n

“We’ve teamed up with the Tallahassee Chapter of the Nashville Songwriters’ Association International. Some of the performers will be Bobby Kennedy, Tracy Horenbein, (and) Drew Whitfield, just to name a few of them.”<\/p>\n
