{"id":242317,"date":"2026-04-22T20:42:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T20:42:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/242317\/"},"modified":"2026-04-22T20:42:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T20:42:19","slug":"bain-capital-smith-hill-lend-94m-on-rebranded-tampa-hotel-commercial-observer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/242317\/","title":{"rendered":"Bain Capital, Smith Hill Lend $94M on Rebranded Tampa Hotel \u2013 Commercial Observer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A joint venture between <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/newbond-holdings\/\" title=\"Newbond Holdings\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Newbond Holdings<\/a> and Apollo has landed a $94.36 million loan to refinance a rebranded hotel in Downtown Tampa, Fla, Commercial Observer has learned.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/bain-capital\/\" title=\"Bain Capital\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bain Capital<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/commercialobserver.com\/company\/smith-hill-capital\/\" title=\"Smith Hill Capital\" class=\"company-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Smith Hill Capital<\/a> provided the loan Hotel Cala, a 281-key property that Newbond in partnership with investment funds managed by an affiliate of Apollo <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20221103006268\/en\/Newbond-Holdings-and-Funds-Managed-by-Apollo-Global-Management-Acquire-Hotel-Tampa-Riverwalk\">acquired <\/a>in late 2022.
