After a brief struggle, they were able to tape its mouth shut and relocate it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From neighborhood calls to going toe-to-toe with an alligator, our officers never quite know what they\u2019ll show up to next,&#8221; West Palm Beach police <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/1274071211498877\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">said<\/a> in a social media statement. &#8220;Well-rounded policing means being ready for anything, even when it has scales and a serious attitude.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/myfwc.com\/wildlifehabitats\/wildlife\/alligator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission<\/a> (FWC) says that if you are concerned about an alligator, you should call the FWC&#8217;s toll-free Nuisance Alligator Hotline at 866-392-4286.<\/p>\n<p>FWC says that when someone calls the hotline, they will dispatch a contracted alligator trapper to resolve the situation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Officers faced an unexpected challenge as they safely captured and relocated an alligator.
