(KATV) \u2014 Hundreds of athletes from across the region hit the track today, showing off their skills, determination and team spirit. <\/p>\n<p>Channel Seven News stopped by Jacksonville High School as the Jacksonville North Pulaski school district hosts the 2026 Special Olympics Track and Field games. <\/p>\n<p>The superintendent of schools there, Dr. Jeremy Owoh, tells us this event is all about community and inclusion. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just the number of volunteers, both the adult&#8217;s community members as well as our students who are deciding who wanted to come out and volunteer, that&#8217;s outstanding. That&#8217;s awesome, and it really shows that our community cares for everyone.,&#8221; said Owoh.<\/p>\n<p>This event is part of Special Olympics Arkansas, which offers year-round training and competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jacksonville, Ark.
