(WCTV) &#8211; Number 13 Florida State\u2019s brightest star shined through for the Seminoles on Wednesday night. Isa Torres hit a pair of solo home runs, lifting FSU past arch rival and eighth ranked Florida in a hard fought, 3-1 victory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The visiting Gators hit a leadoff homer courtesy of Taylor Shumacker, but Torres answered in kind with her first homer in the bottom of the frame.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The two would stay deadlocked at 1-1 until Torres\u2019 second homer to lead off the third would give FSU its first lead at 2-1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Shelby McKenzie would plate an RBI in the bottom of the fourth to eventually put the game at its final, 3-1 Tally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">With the win, FSU has won eight of the last nine meetings with UF and has significantly bolstered its resume towards a top eight national seed.
