The longest-serving Democrat currently in the chamber, he has built a legacy as <a href=\"https:\/\/floridapolitics.com\/archives\/783866-senate-honors-darryl-rousons-legacy-of-recovery-advocacy\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">a leading voice<\/a> on mental health, addiction recovery and criminal justice reform.
