The police department says a Honda Civic was taken from a home and that a second vehicle had been broken into. Investigators say the key fob had been left inside the stolen vehicle.After officers responded to a vehicle fire on June 23, 2025, near Chiquita Boulevard and Jacaranda Parkway, investigators said the burning vehicle was the stolen Honda Civic from the day before.On June 27, 2025, a police officer conducting traffic enforcement in northwest Cape Coral pulled over a speeding vehicle for a traffic stop. During the stop, police searched the vehicle and found a stolen handgun. The police department says Landin Lee Ahrens, Jaydin Chase Kempton and Ahren M. Edelman were inside the vehicle.Investigating further led to a search warrant for Kempton’s phone. Detectives found video evidence showing Ahrens and Edelman setting the stolen vehicle on fire, while Kempton recorded what happened.
