Junior Woman\u2019s Club seeks new members<\/p>\n
SEMINOLE \u2014 The Seminole Junior Woman\u2019s Club is seeking new club members, women 18 or older from Seminole and surrounding areas. The club meets at 6:30 p.m. every fourth Thursday of the month at Lake Seminole Square, 8333 Seminole Blvd.<\/p>\n
The group is dedicated to serving the community, particularly through programs helping children and Veterans. Club activities include providing a meal at the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg, the SJWC \u201cShare our Spirit\u201d food drive, which helps feed Seminole children during Christmas break, and its annual purse auction in April to raise funds for programs in our community.<\/p>\n

Catch up on the train\u2019s presence in Pinellas that gave Floridians the development of a thriving citrus industry and tourist opportunities. The museum, open 11 years at Seminole City Park, will be highlighting the lives, involvement and dedication of the pioneer women who have given Seminole a rich heritage as we honor Mother\u2019s Day during May.<\/p>\n Rotary Club honors April Students of the Month<\/p>\n SEMINOLE \u2014 Students from area schools were honored at the Rotary Club of Seminole\u2019s luncheon on April 15 as Students of the Month for April.<\/p>\n In coordination with school administrators, students are selected based on their community involvement and scholastic achievement. The honor is awarded to elementary students in the fifth grade and a high school senior.<\/p>\n The honored students are:<\/p>\n \u2022 Bauder Elementary School: Joseph Robbins<\/p>\n \u2022 Orange Grove Elementary School: Allie Saydeh<\/p>\n \u2022 Seminole Elementary School: Kevin Bradley<\/p>\n \u2022 Seminole High School: Caydence Adams<\/p>\n The Rotary Club of Seminole meets Wednesdays at noon at The Bayou Club. Guests and visiting Rotarians are always welcome and can learn more at seminolerotary.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n Scholarship available for SPC students<\/p>\n SEMINOLE \u2014 The Kiwanis Breakfast Club of Seminole is accepting applications for the Colonel Mildred Imogene Butler Health Sciences scholarship for students enrolled in the Health Sciences Program at St. Petersburg College.<\/p>\n Deadline for application is May 15.<\/p>\n Application and requirements may be obtained by visiting St. Petersburg College through Brittany Stebbins, Administrative Assistant (Stebbins.Brittany@spcollege.edu) or the Kiwanis website at www.kiwanisseminolebreakfast.com<\/a>.
