JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WICS\/WRSP)\u2014 Illinois State Police and local law enforcement are continuing to respond to a barricaded subject believed to be armed, but alone, in a home in the 700 block of Park Street in Jacksonville.<\/p>\n
ISP confirm this is not a hostage situation. \u200b<\/p>\n
Jacksonville Middle school is closed for the day, and outside activities at an area college are cancelled. ISP ensure that the public is not at risk at this time. \u200b<\/p>\n

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WICS\/WRSP)\u2014 Jacksonville School District 117 has cancelled classes for Jacksonville Middle School today due to an active crime scene near the school.<\/p>\n
District administrators have been told by police that the situation is dangerous. The other JSD 117 schools will hold classes as normal.<\/p>\n
