The win propelled New England to third in the Eastern Conference, with a game still in hand compared to most of the league. While the Revs haven’t won a match in their last four tests against Inter Miami, they are carrying momentum after two consecutive comeback victories have kept their streak building.

New England’s trip to Miami is sandwiched in the middle of a demanding stretch, after already playing five games in April with one more remaining after Saturday. With 16 goals through their first eight games and just 11 goals against, the Revs are currently one of the most balanced teams in the East on both sides of the ball.

Inter Miami CF
2nd in Eastern Conference (5-1-3, 18 pts.)
Last Result | 2-0 win at Real Salt Lake

Defending MLS Cup champions, Inter Miami won their second straight game since the departure of head coach Javier Mascherano, who stepped down earlier this month for personal reasons. Their 2-0 win over RSL on Wednesday marked their second clean sheet of the season, after conceding eight goals in their previous four games.

Through nine games, Miami has been relatively strong on both sides of the ball, especially on the attack. With 18 goals scored, largely due to Lionel Messi’s seven, the Herons are the second-highest scoring team in the East. With just two games played at Nu Stadium, Miami have yet to find a win in their new home. After consecutive 2-2 draws in their first two games at Nu, Miami will be eager to christen the stadium with its first win.

Revolution defender Will Sands
After earning just six starts in 19 appearances last season, Will Sands has worked his way into the Revolution’s starting XI this year. Under head coach Marko Mitrović, Sands has started every game for the Revolution in 2026, and his presence is starting to make an impact.

Last match, Sands scored the equalizing goal against Atlanta United FC, providing New England with the energy to eventually find the win. The defender currently has one goal and one assist on his tally this season, but with his growing confidence on the pitch, could continue to increase those numbers.

Inter Miami midfielder Rodrigo De Paul
De Paul has been one of Miami’s most productive attackers this season, contributing two goals and three assists. On Wednesday night, he led the charge in Inter Miami’s 2–0 win over Real Salt Lake, breaking the deadlock with an 82nd-minute banger that shifted the energy toward Miami before Luis Suarez doubled the lead moments later. His performance earned him a spot on the matchday’s best XI.

The Argentine international logged all 90 minutes in Salt Lake and is still expected to play a major attacking role on Saturday. As Miami continues to chase its first win at Nu Stadium, De Paul’s chance creation makes him one of the most dangerous threats in the final third.

Head coach Marko Mitrović on preparing for Saturday’s match at Inter Miami CF:
“We play against the [defending] MLS Cup champion, a team that has a very strong roster. They’re also a team that’s coming off two road wins. Inter Miami, no matter what moment they’re at, they’re always a difficult team, a team that can change the game to their favor in any moment. We’re very aware of their qualities, but we’re also within our process where we feel that we have certain moments in our game where we feel very positive. Obviously, we have things that we have to improve but we are going to do everything to be ready for [Saturday’s] game.”

Mitrović on the team carrying momentum into Saturday’s match after their first road-win:
“Every game gives us a new opportunity to reach a new milestone as a team, and to grow. Getting the first away win was a great milestone for us. If we speak about belief, it’s really the belief that we can win, always. In everything, you can always win if you perform and you believe in that. That’s something that is very important for us- having that mindset, having that perspective that if we do the right things, we can be in a good spot no matter what team we face. I’m not saying it any arrogant way, don’t take me wrong. We’re always aware that we have great competition and on Saturday we have a great opponent. But we have to do what we can do so that we’re at our best.”

Defender/winger Peyton Miller on the team’s mindset heading into Saturday’s match at Inter Miami CF:
“To go out there, just find a way to win the game, score goals, and keep the [four-game winning] streak going.”

The Revolution complete a two-game road trip on Saturday night against Inter Miami CF, competing at Nu Stadium…

[9
123,125,124,9501
0":"post-245116","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-miami","8":"tag-miami","9":"tag-miami-headlines","10":"tag-miami-news","11":"tag-mls-regular-season
["GET
