The Jacksonville Jaguars are heading into the 2026 NFL Draft without a first-round pick after the Travis Hunter trade last year, but that doesn’t mean they’re devoid of capital.

Jacksonville holds 11 draft picks heading into the weekend, including three third-rounders, thanks to a smart draft day trade they made last offseason.

With the Detroit Lions targeting wide receiver Isaac Teslaa in the third round, the Jaguars moved back 30 spots and acquired a pair of future draft picks in return.

With the 2026 NFL Draft upon us, let’s revisit the 2025 trade and see how things fare after one year.

Original terms for the 2025 NFL Draft trade between the Jaguars and Lions

Detroit Lions receive: 2025 third-round pick (No. 72 overall), 2025 sixth-round pick (No. 182 overall), 2026 sixth-round pick (No. 205 overall)Jacksonville Jaguars receive: 2025 third-round pick (No. 102 overall), 2026 third-round pick (No. 81 overall), 2026 third-round pick (No. 100 overall)

Who did the Jaguars take with their picks from the Isaac TeSlaa trade?

Jacksonville traded up after acquiring the No. 102 pick. They moved up 13 spots to take guard Wyatt Milum, sending a fifth-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings, while receiving a seventh-round pick as well in the deal.

In the 2026 NFL Draft, they have the 81st and 100th overall picks. Jacksonville selected Texas A&M DT Albert Regis at 81 and Maryland safety Jalen Huskey to finish off the third round.

How did Wyatt Milum perform for the Jaguars in 2025?

Milum was called upon in primarily a reserve role as a rookie after dealing with injuries to start the year. He played in 10 games, seeing only 96 offensive snaps, which sometimes came in jumbo packages with an extra offensive lineman.

He’s slated to be a reserve again in 2026.

Who did the Detroit Lions take with the picks from the Isaac TeSlaa trade?

The Lions traded up for Isaac TeSlaa, taking him with the No. 72 pick. They then used the No. 182 pick in a later trade, moving up 11 spots with the New England Patriots to take guard Miles Frazier. Detroit sent back an extra seventh-round pick in that second trade.

They have the 213th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, too. We will update when the pick is used.

How did Isaac TeSlaa perform in his rookie season?

TeSlaa ended up being Detroit’s No. 4 receiver as a rookie behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Kalif Raymond. He had a couple of highlight-reel catches, finishing the year with 16 catches for 239 yards and six touchdowns.

The red zone and deep threat capabilities were both keys to why Detroit took him at No. 72, and they were both seen in flashes during TeSlaa’s rookie year. He’s now slated to be the No. 3 receiver in 2026.

How did the Jaguars fare in their 2025 NFL Draft trade?

While we haven’t seen much of an impact from Milum yet, from a value perspective, the Jaguars knocked this one out of the park.

They received two additional third-round picks in return, which will be crucial for them this weekend, as they have plenty of ammunition to move up in the draft.

For a draft day deal, without grading the actual draft picks yet, this one seems pretty good from Jacksonville’s perspective, setting them up well in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are heading into the 2026 NFL Draft without a first-round pick after the Travis Hunter…

[8
116,118,26216,15359,117
post-245729","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-jacksonville","tag-jacksonville","tag-jacksonville-headlines","tag-jacksonville-jaguars-draft","tag-jacksonville-jaguars-roster","tag-jacksonville-news
["GET
