With the No. 81 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Albert Regis, defensive tackle, Texas A&M.<\/p>\n

Defensive tackle was perhaps the top need for the Jaguars entering this draft weekend. The unit could absolutely use some pass rush juice, but some run-stopping insurance was needed as well, as 29-year-old DaVon Hamilton is the only notable gap-plugger on the roster. The question here, like Jacksonville\u2019s No. 56 pick<\/a>, is about value; Regis is the 150th-ranked player on the consensus big board<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fifth-year senior with two years as a starter, Regis is built low, with girthy lowers and shorter arms. \u2026 His rush is unimpressive and his lack of length will cause issues at times, but he\u2019s tough, strong and consistent. Regis should become a run-stopping factor as a nose tackle.<\/p>\n
