ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 A guest at SeaWorld Orlando is now suing the theme park after she was struck by a duck on a roller coaster earlier this year, according to a lawsuit filed on Monday morning.<\/p>\n
The lawsuit says that the rider \u2014 identified as Hillary Martin of Orange County \u2014 was visiting the park back in March, which is when she decided to ride the Mako roller coaster.<\/p>\n
But while riding, a duck flew into the roller coaster\u2019s path, striking Martin\u2019s face and causing her to lose consciousness, the lawsuit adds.<\/p>\n

Now, Martin is accusing the theme park of \u201ccreating a zone of danger,\u201d largely due to its high speed and placement near a body of water, which allegedly increased the risk of bird strikes.<\/p>\n
As a result of the incident, Martin suffered permanent injury to her body, as well as hospital expenses and mental suffering, the lawsuit claims.<\/p>\n
\u201cLosses are permanent and continuing, and (Martin) will suffer in the future,\u201d the document reads.<\/p>\n
Per the lawsuit, Martin is seeking over $50,000 in damages.<\/p>\n
