JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office investigators are searching for a suspect following a robbery at a Chase Bank on Atlantic Boulevard Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
JSO said patrol officers were dispatched to the bank at 1515 Atlantic Blvd. at approximately 1:30 p.m. in reference to a bank robbery.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat we have determined is the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the teller,\u201d JSO said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe teller complied and provided the suspect with an unknown amount of money. The suspect then fled the bank on foot in a northern direction, toward downtown.\u201d<\/p>\n
Investigators describe the suspect as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 6 feet 5 inches tall, with a neatly trimmed brown beard. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black hoodie, green pants and black shoes, and was carrying a blue backpack.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe suspect didn\u2019t display a firearm during the robbery, but we consider him armed and dangerous,\u201d JSO said. \u201cWe ask if anyone sees this individual to contact JSO immediately and do not approach him.\u201d<\/p>\n
Robbery and Violent Crime investigators, along with Crime Scene detectives, are on scene conducting the initial investigation. The FBI has also been notified of the incident.<\/p>\n
