BSO Detective Andrew Gianino said on Tuesday that the victim, Bree Black, and the \u201cperson of interest\u201d had been involved in a fight two to three days before the murder on July 3, 2020, in Pompano Beach. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt is also known that the person of interest has a long history of violence, right here in Pompano Beach,\u201d Gianino said while standing at the crime scene. <\/p>\n
BSO deputies also put up a banner with Bree Black\u2019s picture on Tuesday at the crime scene, just outside of the apartment where she had lived in the area of Northwest Third Avenue and 12th Street. <\/p>\n
\u201cPrior to the shooting, Bree Black was at a gender reveal party nearby and left the party in order to charge her cell phone,\u201d Gianino said. \u201cWhen she arrived here, she charged her phone, exited her apartment, and waited for a ride in the driveway.\u201d <\/p>\n
Gianino said that she was on a Facetime call with a friend of hers while she was waiting. <\/p>\n
\u201cShortly after that call ended, she was chased down, shot, and killed,\u201d Gianino said. <\/p>\n
Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies reported finding the victim, also known as NUK and as Cameron Breon, wounded shortly after 10:15 p.m. on July 3, 2020. <\/p>\n
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue personnel pronounced her dead about 10 minutes later. She was 27. <\/p>\n
BSO Cold Case Homicide Unit detectives said they need information about the firearm used in the murder. <\/p>\n
The detectives also asked witnesses who saw the fight she was involved in, or who were with her at the party on July 3, 2020, to come forward. <\/p>\n
Gianino asked anyone with information about the case to call 954-321-4376. There is a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and prosecution. <\/p>\n
