No. 8 seed Orlando<\/a> defeated No. 1 seed Detroit<\/a>, 113-105, in the NBA playoffs first round Saturday at Kia Center in Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n

The Magic leads the best-of-seven series, 2-1.<\/p>\n

Former Tennessee<\/a> basketball player Tobias<\/a> Harris<\/a> started and played 38 minutes for the Pistons. He totaled 23 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Harris converted 8-of-16 field goal attempts, 2-of-6 three-point attempts and 5-of-5 free throw attempts.<\/p>\n

Harris played for the Vols from 2010-11 under head coach\u00a0Bruce Pearl<\/a>. In his one season at Tennessee, he averaged 15.3 points and 7.3 assists per game. Harris was a Second-Team All-SEC performer and a member of the SEC All-Freshman Team. He received Second-Team Freshman All-America honors by the USBWA.<\/p>\n

The former Vol was selected in the first round of the\u00a02011 NBA draft<\/a>\u00a0(No. 19 overall) by the Bobcats.<\/p>\n

In his NBA career, Harris has played for Milwaukee<\/a> (2011-13), Orlando (2013-16), Detroit (2016-18, 2024-26), the Clippers<\/a> (2018-19) and Philadelphia<\/a> (2019-24).<\/p>\n

Chaz Lanier<\/a> did not play due to a coach’s decision.<\/p>\n

Game 4 of the series will be played Monday at Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. The game is slated for 8 p.m. EDT (NBC).<\/p>\n
