\n\t\t\t\t\t\tDeputies in Martin County arrested a man accused of pouring gasoline on a motorcycle and setting fires along Jensen Beach Boulevard while carrying a torch. Body camera footage shows the suspect surrendering to Martin County sheriff’s deputies near the Savannas Preserve. Kylie Micciche was at the scene and recorded the incident and described what she witnessed. “I was driving home on Jensen Beach Boulevard, and I see this gentleman walking on the side of the road and I see this torch. He literally lit the Savannas on fire,” Micciche said. In the video, a deputy appears to have his gun drawn before the suspect is taken into custody. “So, the good Samaritan who made the video last night and several others who were there saw him walking down the road, lighting the palmettos on fire as he’s walking,” Sheriff John Budensiek said. He said Lentz had a sword attached to his waistband, and investigators recovered a jug filled with gasoline. “He came into Martin County from the down in the Palm Beach County area. He has been last seen interacted by law enforcement where he goes to UCF, like I said, for acting strange,” Budensiek said. “And acting strange consisted of him seeing ghost and making weird statements.”No injuries were reported, but the sheriff highlighted the potential severity of the situation. “That could have been catastrophic last night. The burn ban here in Martin County, it’s been extremely dry. We had witnesses that called right away, gave us play-by-play of what was going on, and then we had the wind in our favor blowing the right direction,” he said.
