{"id":248055,"date":"2026-04-27T09:52:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T09:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/248055\/"},"modified":"2026-04-27T09:52:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T09:52:10","slug":"lynx-changes-routes-schedules-for-central-florida-riders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/248055\/","title":{"rendered":"LYNX changes routes, schedules for Central Florida riders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ORLANDO, Fla. \u2014\u00a0LYNX service changes are now in effect for riders in Orange and Osceola counties this week.<\/p>\n<p>What You Need To Know<\/p>\n<p>LYNX bus route changes are in effect this week<br \/>\n<br \/>This also includes adjustments on scheduling and bay changes at the Disney Springs Transfer Center<br \/>\n<br \/>A LYNX spokesperson says the changes were published months in advance to give riders time to learn about the updates<br \/>\n<br \/>Starting next month, riders will no longer have to schedule a NeighborLink ride two hours in advance<\/p>\n<p>The April service changes include:<\/p>\n<p>Route\/schedule adjustments on Links 20, 36, 311, 407, 418<br \/>\nSchedule adjustments on Links 3, 24, 43, 48, 49, 125<br \/>\nTimepoint adjustments on Links 10, 19, 40, 105, 302<br \/>\nBay changes at Disney Springs Transfer Center<\/p>\n<p>LYNX spokesperson Matt Friedman said\u00a0 the changes are published ahead of time to give riders a chance to learn about the updates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe start publicizing this two months out, and then we switch our campaign a month out, and it\u2019s a daily reminder that we do give to our customers,&#8221; Friedman said. &#8220;This information is on board all of our vehicles, it\u2019s at our terminal, so there\u2019s lots of places where folks can find this information.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A single ride on LYNX costs $2, but that price can be discounted for qualifying youth and AdvantAge Fare Program passengers. An all-day pass is $4.50, while seven-day and 30-day passes are available as well.<\/p>\n<p>Friedman said it is not uncommon for public transportation, such as LYNX, to make route changes regularly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe make these necessary adjustments for efficiencies multiple times throughout the years,&#8221; Friedman said. &#8220;A lot of it happens with construction projects on the road or roadway projects, and that really changes how we have to go about and travel patterns throughout the region.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, beginning next month, customers will no longer be required to schedule a <a href=\"https:\/\/mynews13.com\/fl\/orlando\/news\/2026\/03\/04\/changes-coming-to-lynx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NeighborLink service<\/a> two hours in advance. All trips must be booked through the Ride Freebee app, which is the same app used by riders in Seminole County scheduling a <a href=\"https:\/\/mynews13.com\/fl\/orlando\/news\/2025\/11\/21\/scout-first-month-in-seminole-county\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Scout ride.<\/a> Walk-on requests will not be allowed.<\/p>\n<p>The NeighborLink service changes begin either May 11 or May 26, depending on the route.
