Jacksonville jumped ahead in the third inning behind a pair of RBI-doubles from freshman Jaida Thomas and graduate Sarah Beth Brake.

Brake’s 49th RBI of the year placed the graduate transfer in the sole possession of second overall in single-season runs batted in. Brake’s 13 jacks lead the team and are fifth overall in the league.

Stetson jumped ahead with the game-tying run in the seventh and knocked one around in the eighth to take the lead and eventually the game.

Brake and Mansfield were second on the team with two hits each, part of a 10-hit afternoon for the ‘Phins. Freshman Jaida Thomas led the charge with a 3-4 showing, collecting one RBI and a triple. Thomas leads the entire ASUN in triples with seven.
