{"id":248176,"date":"2026-04-27T12:16:06","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T12:16:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/248176\/"},"modified":"2026-04-27T12:16:06","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T12:16:06","slug":"from-church-in-broward-8-year-old-pastor-luke-promotes-his-new-book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/248176\/","title":{"rendered":"From church in Broward, 8-year-old \u2018Pastor Luke\u2019 promotes his new book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla.  \u2014 Eight-year-old Luke Tillman, who lives in Broward County, has been promoting his new book: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Finding-God-Every-Day-Devotional\/dp\/0310175445\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Finding-God-Every-Day-Devotional\/dp\/0310175445\">Finding God Every Day<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Luke\u2019s father, Rev. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pineygroveacademy.org\/meetourpastor\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.pineygroveacademy.org\/meetourpastor\">Ezra Tillman<\/a>, who was born in Michigan, is the senior pastor at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FirstBaptistChurchPineyGrove\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">First Baptist Church Piney Grove<\/a>, in Lauderdale Lakes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWhen I was three, I had a dream that God called me to preach,\u201d Luke said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Luke isn\u2019t waiting to make his dreams come true. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cEvery single time I preach, I shake,\u201d Luke said. \u201cMy mom said when I shake, that means the holy spirit is in me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Luke\u2019s new 90-day devotional book is also inspired by family videos that have gone viral over the years. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In late 2022, after his father performed baptisms, his mother, Catrina Tillman, recorded Luke at five, baptizing his Paw Patrol toy. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThat inspired me to be like, \u2018Hey! I want to start baptize somebody,\u201d Luke said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Luke is excited about helping others with his book, which will be released on Sept. 8. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThe book is about how kids like me can find God through our daily life experiences,\u201d he said. \u201cYou can find God through different things in this book. Like brushing your teeth, cleaning your room.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Luke has been making the rounds around the country and on national TV for years.
