Investigators in Florida have found human remains in a Tampa Bay waterway where they have been looking for a woman who was one of two doctoral students at the University of South Florida reported missing this month.<\/p>\n

A former student at the school has been charged in the murders of the two students.<\/p>\n

The Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office said on Sunday<\/a> that its teams, along with those from the Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s Office, recovered the remains from the waterway near Interstate 275 and Fourth Street North, in an area where the authorities said last week<\/a> they were searching for the woman, Nahida Bristy, 27.<\/p>\n

The remains are being identified by the Pinellas County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office, the Hillsborough sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n

Ms. Bristy and the other doctoral student, Zamil Limon, 27, were last seen on April 16.<\/p>\n

Mr. Limon\u2019s body was found on Friday on the Howard Frankland Bridge in Tampa, about 20 miles southwest of his home near the university\u2019s campus, the authorities said.<\/p>\n

His roommate, Hisham Abugharbieh, 26, was arrested on Friday and charged<\/a> with two counts of first-degree murder, which the sheriff\u2019s office said came after it presented evidence to the Florida State Attorney\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

A motive for the killings was not immediately clear.<\/p>\n
