The site sits just yards from existing homes, and neighbors say the potential shift could bring increased traffic, noise, and activity to what has been a peaceful residential area.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday it\u2019s my block, and tomorrow it\u2019s yours,\u201d said Margaret Mucciolo.<\/p>\n
The Mucciolo family moved to the Tradition area seven years ago, drawn in by what they describe as a quiet, natural setting in their backyard.<\/p>\n
Now, they fear that could soon be replaced by commercial development.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople don\u2019t wanna hear noise. They don\u2019t wanna hear trucks at 2 a.m. They don\u2019t wanna smell gas and oil,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
Beyond the disruption, the Mucciolos also worry about the long-term impact on nature and green space.<\/p>\n
\u201cSilence is acceptance, so I urge everyone who has concerns\u2014truthfully speaking, you all should,\u201d Margaret Mucciolo said. \u201cOnce you take away nature\u2019s habitat, you don\u2019t get it back.\u201d<\/p>\n
The uncertainty is already raising difficult questions about the future of where the Muccilos call home.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hate to say this, but if these things come to pass, we may seek other grounds and other places to go,\u201d Joseph Mucciolo said.<\/p>\n
