{"id":249659,"date":"2026-04-28T14:17:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T14:17:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/249659\/"},"modified":"2026-04-28T14:17:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T14:17:08","slug":"jacksonville-woman-charged-with-1-felony-and-2-misdemeanors-in-dog-cruelty-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/249659\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacksonville woman charged with 1 felony and 2 misdemeanors in dog cruelty case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County  \u2014 A Jacksonville woman is facing multiple animal cruelty charges following an investigation earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>According to arrest warrants, 29-year-old Jessica Lanier was arrested Monday, April 27, in connection with an incident first reported on February 19.<\/p>\n<p>Lanier is charged with one count of felony animal cruelty and two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty.<\/p>\n<p>Warrants allege Lanier failed to provide adequate sustenance to one dog, resulting in its death.
