ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 A surge of very dry air<\/a> continues to move into Florida as a weak high-pressure system settles overhead. <\/p>\n

A fast-moving cold front late Wednesday will drive through the area, and with little moisture available, most of the day will be dry. A few brief showers are possible overnight.<\/p>\n

Afternoon highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.<\/p>\n

With long period swells from Hurricane Melissa will keep conditions hazardous for boaters and beachgoers, with a high risk of rip currents. <\/p>\n

Thursday and Halloween<\/p>\n

Cooler, drier air arrives behind the front, with morning lows dropping into the mid-50s to low 60s.<\/p>\n

Expect breezy northwest winds up to 15 mph and gusts of 25 mph during the day, keeping conditions mostly dry. <\/p>\n

By Friday, temperatures will drop even further during the morning, with lows into the upper 40s to low 50s and highs in the low 70s.<\/p>\n

Trick-or-treaters can expect really nice conditions around sunset Friday, with temperatures in the 60s under mostly clear skies. <\/p>\n

Weekend into Next Week<\/p>\n

A mid-level low pressure system is expected to move across the southern U.S., though models disagree on its exact path and timing. Depending on how it develops, our area could see a few light showers early next week. <\/p>\n

For now, rain chances remain low, around 20% on Monday and Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Temperatures will gradually warm but stay slightly below normal.<\/p>\n
