The five-day event \u2014 recognised as the world\u2019s largest in-water boat show \u2014 will feature a wide range of vessels, marine products, and lifestyle exhibits.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s edition coincides with the reopening of the redeveloped Pier Sixty-Six Hotel &amp; Marina. The Pier Sixty-Six Marina is fully occupied by the event, while Pier South continues to serve as the location for Superyacht Village. The event attracts over 100,000 visitors annually.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFLIBS has always been about delivering an unforgettable experience for everyone, from lifelong yachting enthusiasts to families discovering the marine lifestyle for the first time,\u201d says Andrew Doole, president of US Boat Shows at Informa Markets. \u201cWith the reopening of Pier Sixty-Six, exciting new experiences like the Windward VIP Cabana Club, and the continued expansion of our show footprint, 2025 will be a year to remember.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the eve of the show opening, the newly reopened Pier Sixty-Six hosted The Honours 2025, an event presented by The Superyacht Life Foundation in association with FLIBS and Pier Sixty-Six. The ceremony recognised three women for their contributions to the superyacht sector and their work advancing sustainability, science, and social impact through yachting.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-194370 lazyload\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/MAJJ3855-e1761736976933-1024x577.jpg\"  data-eio-rwidth=\"1024\" data-eio-rheight=\"577\"\/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/MAJJ3855-e1761736976933-1024x577.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-194370\"   data-eio=\"l\"\/>This year\u2019s Honourees: Angela Abshier, Francisca Cort\u00e9s Solari and Rosie O\u2019Donnell<\/p>\n<p>The honourees were: Angela Abshier, founder of Sail to Shelter (USA); Francisca Cort\u00e9s Solari, founder of Fundaci\u00f3n MERI (Chile); and Rosie O\u2019Donnell, project lead for Yachts for Science (UK). Each received The Bowspirit Award, acknowledging their leadership and efforts to connect yachting with global good.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sails that once harnessed the power of the wind are now providing protection from it,\u201d says Abshier. \u201cIt\u2019s proof that even the materials of this industry have the potential to serve a higher purpose. I\u2019m deeply honoured that Sail to Shelter has found a home within the heart of the yachting community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sea connects us all,\u201d says Cort\u00e9s Solari. \u201cThrough Fundaci\u00f3n MERI, we\u2019ve seen how science, when combined with education and respect for nature, can inspire entire communities to become guardians of the ocean. This recognition honours not just one project, but a collective effort \u2014 from the Global South \u2014 to protect life on Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about unlocking potential,\u201d says O\u2019Donnell. \u201cEvery yacht has the ability to become a vessel of discovery \u2013 and when owners, crew and scientists come together, what we can achieve is extraordinary.
