Months after Sheriff T.K. Waters announced that a Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office employee had been claiming overtime pay while he was actually having a romantic relationship with his supervisor, News4JAX has now learned what happened to the supervisor.<\/p>\n
The relationship came to light when Officer Christian Madsen was arrested in February<\/a> on felony charges tied to alleged false overtime claims, totalling more than $14,000.<\/p>\n RELATED: JSO officer accused of falsely claiming $14K of overtime was with girlfriend instead, who was also his boss: Sheriff<\/a><\/p>\n Waters acknowledged when he announced the arrest that during at least some of those claims, Madsen was actually at the home of his supervisor, Chief of Patrol Support Jaime Eason, and the two had a romantic relationship.<\/p>\n Waters said at the time that Eason, who in 2022 was the first woman appointed as chief over the entire patrol division<\/a>, had resigned her position as chief of patrol support, \u201cafter a long conversation in my office.\u201d <\/p>\n He also said that Eason, who started at JSO in 1999, was going through an \u201cadministrative process\u201d but declined to share further details about any possible punishment for Eason.<\/p>\n News4JAX has since learned through a records request that an in-house complaint for unbecoming conduct was filed against Eason on Feb. 25, one day before Waters announced Madsen\u2019s arrest.<\/p>\n That complaint was sustained, meaning JSO found the complaint had merit, and Eason received informal counseling.<\/p>\n She is now listed as a police lieutenant with JSO.<\/p>\n
